Now that it’s warm and it’s safer to travel as vaccinations increase, the Lansing community is looking forward to getting out this summer.
“My favorite thing to do in the summer is having water balloon fights with my cousins,” said freshman Autumn Arnold.
Sophomore London Haynes missed the events that were cancelled last summer due to COVID, and is hoping to be able to attend this year.
“My favorite thing about summer is the activities like carnivals and fairs,” said Haynes.
Instead of being quarantined this summer, many students are hoping to be able to participate in normal summertime activities again.
“My favorite thing to do in the summer is go swimming with my friends,” said sophomore Daquarius Turner.
Of course, getting outside can mean the return of some of summer’s downsides.
“My least favorite thing about summer is people piling up and fights everywhere,” said Arnold.
“My least favorite thing about summer is the heat because sometimes it gets too hot,” said Haynes.
