John Form has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia – a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long.
This movie was very creepy, especially because the doll turns out to be real.
“The doll is so scary, the real one is less scary but that makes it more scary,” said Lewton 4th grader Eliana Bermudez.
Previews for the movie focused more on the few scary parts there were rather than the movie as a whole.
They showed the demon and doll maybe 20 minutes out of the whole movie. The rest of the movie wasn’t very interesting.
The movie started off great and exciting, then they built the story. They story was built at a slow irrelevant pace, but the wait was worth it.
“I only jumped a couple of times because they didn’t show the scary thing that much,” said Averill 3rd grader Senaida Bermudez.
There was a murder at the beginning, then it slowed. It showed minor scary things that could be predicted. The end was predictable as well but there were some crazy parts.
I rate this movie a 7/10. The reason is because it was scary but it wasn’t terrifying. I want to watch a movie that make me want to keep my bedroom door open while I sleep.
