The lady Viking tennis team had a tough match last night against the Jackson high school. The Vikings put up a good fight, but one player out with a rolled ankle forced position shifts for certain players. Everett had their work cut out for them, losing the match 0-8.

Even though the team lost captain Annisa Dawsey said she felt that she played well considering the other matches she had [played in] and the way she felt about those.

Dawsey has high hopes for future matches as long as she can improve small changes to help the overall outcome of her game.

“I [want] to improve on not hitting the ball out when they serve it super hard and to keep the ball under control,” said Dawsey.

With CAAC in the near future the girls will have another chance to play against Jackson, some players feel that the outcome will still be the same.

“Jackson is a tough team beating them is not one of my expectations,” said Captain Dinah George.
