2010 has a lot in store for music lovers. Plenty of independent acts and innovators are coming back to give you what you need.

One of the most anticipated albums of the year comes from the producer/songwriter/ singer, Colin Munroe. He is releasing his debut album after having put out an Extended Play under Universal Motown Records. Colin Munroe has appeared on songs with the likes of Young Buck, Kanye West, Black Milk, Wale, and fellow Canadian, Drake. His album entitled, Don’t Think Less of Me is ideal for indie rock, pop, and hip hop lovers.

Black Milk, a Producer/Rapper from Detroit is dropping his third album entitled Album of The Year, an album in which he discusses the events that took place after he released his sophomore album Tronic. The first single off Album of The Year called Keep Going was leaked on December 25 last year and got great reviews. He has produced for the likes of Slum Village, Skyzoo, Pharaoh Monch, Royce da 5’9, Bishop Lamont, and many more. Fans of hard hitting beats and new Motown sounds should grab Black Milk’s new album.

D.C. rapper/producer Oddisee put together a project called Traveling Man. When you’re a musician, life is usually spent on the road.Oddisee released this 24 track instrumental CD containing a song for each city he visited world wide. With songs like Miami, Philly, Detroit, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, and Atlanta, if music lovers just want to listen to music without a rapper or lead singer screaming in their ear, then Oddisee’s got your best interest at heart with Traveling Man.

Rock’s supergroup Linkin Park is coming back this year with their fourth album, about which co-frontman Mike Shinoda told Rolling Stone “they’re going to have to come up with a new genre name for what this record is”.The previous album Minutes to Midnight got mixed reviews, but this new album is sure to please. Fans of cutting edge music and innovative styles should take the time out of their day to go buy this CD.

After five years of hiatus, Blink 182 is finally coming out with a new album. Blink 182 strayed away from their vintage joke telling frat boy style with their last album Blink 182 and they appeared to reviewers to be a more serious punk rock group. The release date hasn’t been confirmed but be on the look out at the end of 2010 or early 2011. We all have heard Blink 182 at some point. Go pick up this album.
