Members of the Everett bowling team gather for a group photo.

Many students do not realize that Everett has two bowling teams.  There is a boy’s team and a girl’s team made up of students ranging from freshman to seniors.
“The bowling team have been around for about five years, but I’ves only been on it for two years,” seniors Manuel Fores explains.
The coach of the bowling team is Sabrina Richmond. She is the mother of junior Devin Richmond and she has been coaching for two years. The coach before her was Sabrina Redmond.
The boys’ bowling team has been to states twice in the last two years. States were held in Muskegon, Michigan.
“It was fun and there was a lot of competion but the key was to stayed relaxed and calm,” said Richmond.
The bowling team practices at Pro-bowl located on Martin Luther King Blvd. Home games are also held at this location.
The team is always looking for new members.  To try out for the team, students bowl 16 games for the best averages.
“I joined bowling because it’s something I love to do,” said junior Mckenzie Sipe. “I have been bowling since I was seven and my brothers were on the team so I thought I could do it to.”
